Real Training for Ages 12 to 15

Jaguars at our Carrollton academy is jiu-jitsu for ages 12 to 15, the age where the training gets real. Technique sharpens, live rolling becomes the center of class, and students start to understand jiu-jitsu as a problem they get to solve every single round.

This is a demanding age, and the mat handles it well. Jaguars channels energy into focus, builds the discipline of showing up and putting in the work, and gives teens a place where effort is the only thing that matters: not status, not phones, not who is the loudest in the room.

A Peer Group Worth Having

The teens in this room push each other and look out for each other. For a lot of families, the community is the reason their kid keeps coming back.

How We Build Kids

Built around how kids actually develop.

Every kids program keys in on the four stages of childhood development: Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, and Social. We call it PIES. It is how we structure classes, design drills, and build the relationships that turn a shy four-year-old into a confident kid who walks into school with a quiet sense of who they are.

  • P Physical

Coordination, strength, control of the body.

  • I Intellectual

Focus, problem-solving, learning how to learn.

  • E Emotional

    Confidence, self-regulation, handling setbacks.

  • S Social

    Respect, teamwork, friendship across ages.

Before You Sign Up

Common questions about Jaguars in Carrollton, TX.

My kid did the Basic program. Are they ready for Jaguars?

Yes. Jaguars is built for ages 12 to 15, whether they came up through our Basic program or are starting fresh. The pace is faster, the rounds are live, and the expectations grow with your teen.

My teen has never trained. Can they start in Jaguars?

Absolutely. Beginners are welcome, and instructors meet each student where they are. The first few weeks focus on the fundamentals before live rolling ramps up.

Is live rolling safe for teenagers?

Yes. Rolling is introduced progressively and always supervised, and partners are taught to train with control and respect from day one.

How long are the classes?

Jaguars classes run about 45 minutes. Call or text us for the current weekly schedule.

Will this help with confidence and focus?

It is one of the most common things parents tell us. The discipline of consistent training, the problem-solving of live rounds, and a positive peer group add up to real change in how a teen carries themselves.
